About the Role

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering cannabis products directly to our customers' homes or specified locations. Your primary goal is to provide excellent customer service by ensuring a safe, efficient, and timely delivery experience. You will be responsible for verifying customer orders and IDs, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least [18/21] years old (based on local cannabis laws).

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience: Previous experience in delivery or a customer service role preferred. Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.

  • Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record and valid driver's license are required. Ability to drive safely in various weather and traffic conditions.

  • Reliable Vehicle: A reliable vehicle for deliveries (company vehicles may be provided in some cases).

  • Knowledge of Local Area: Familiarity with the delivery area and local routes is preferred.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, team members, and management.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to [X] lbs. and carry deliveries to customer locations.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure orders are delivered accurately and in compliance with regulations.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using GPS, delivery tracking apps, and other mobile technology to complete deliveries and keep records.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Timely Deliveries: Transport cannabis products from the dispensary to customers in a safe, secure, and timely manner, following scheduled delivery routes.

    • Customer Interaction: Greet customers professionally upon delivery, confirm their order and ID, and provide a positive, customer-focused experience.

    • Order Verification: Verify customer identity by checking IDs and ensuring that deliveries match the customer’s order. Ensure that all products are correctly packaged and sealed.

    • Compliance: Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding cannabis deliveries, including age verification, product limits, and delivery documentation.

    • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery logs, including delivery time, location, and any issues that may arise during the delivery. Report any discrepancies or issues to the Delivery Manager.

    • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with necessary items (e.g., product, receipts, forms). Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is safe for operation.

    • Customer Service: Address any customer concerns or questions during delivery, maintaining a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.

    • Safety and Security: Ensure the safe handling and transportation of cannabis products. Follow security protocols to protect both the products and customer privacy during delivery.

    • Adherence to Routes: Follow designated delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and minimize delays.

    • Problem-Solving: Handle any logistical challenges or delivery issues (e.g., customer not available, incorrect address) in a calm, professional manner.

    • Collaborate with Team: Communicate with dispatch or team members about any issues that arise during the delivery process. Assist with additional tasks as needed when not on deliveries.
